Specialists from JSC "All-Russian Research Institute "Signal"" have patented a device that allows remote control of a man-portable anti-tank missile system without modifying the design of the launcher itself. The kit is quickly installed on standard weapons, transmits an image from the sight to the operator, and provides remote guidance, magnification change, and missile launch.
The key advantage of the new solution is that it is an add-on kit. Installing the equipment does not require dismantling or modifying the base launcher. All key elements are fixed with adjustable fasteners, allowing easy assembly and disassembly of the system, as well as switching to traditional manual control if necessary.
The device includes electric drives for horizontal and vertical guidance, a trigger mechanism drive, a remote optical sight magnification switching module, a video camera, a command processing unit, and an operator's console.
The image from the sight is transmitted to the console screen in real time. The operator can remotely aim the launcher, change the optical magnification, and launch the missile using both wired and secure wireless communication channels.
The developers note that the new technical solution eliminates the shortcomings of existing systems, which either require complex re-equipment of the complex or do not allow a quick return to manual operation.
