An unusual platform for combating drones, “Plot-47”, was unveiled in Leningrad Oblast. Developers expect to use it to protect facilities located near water.
The prototype was first demonstrated on water on July 24 in Vyborg. The floating platform is designed to protect naval bases, port infrastructure, and fuel and energy complex facilities.
The construction of the prototype has been completed. The project has already received preliminary approval from the relevant research institute of the Navy.
In addition to combating UAVs, the complex is considered a means of countering uncrewed boats. There are currently no analogues of “Plot-47” in Russia, and its characteristics are not disclosed.
