The European Union has expanded its sanctions list to include dozens of companies and their executives involved in the production and supply of Russian attack drones. The new package of restrictions features two drone lines: "Garpiya-A1" and FPV drones of the "Bekas" family.

The Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Kupol" is listed in EU documents as the main manufacturer of "Garpiya-A1". The enterprise itself is already under sanctions, so the new restrictions are aimed at its contractors. The list of electronics and component suppliers subject to restrictions includes "NTT Vostok" (warhead parts), "Tekhnosvyaz" (electronics), "Orbita" and NPK "Severnaya Zarya" (electronic components for warheads).

"Garpiya-A1" is a Russian kamikaze drone produced at the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Kupol" since 2023. The aircraft is built on a "tailless" scheme with a delta wing, equipped with a piston engine with a pusher propeller, develops a speed of up to 185 km/h, and is capable of hitting targets at a range of up to 1500–2000 km. The warhead mass is up to 150 kg. "Garpiyas" are actively used in the combat zone, and their production was significantly increased in 2025. Drones of the "Bekas" family are FPV aircraft used for tactical tasks on the line of contact.

Previously, the EU had already imposed sanctions against the Russian military-industrial complex, including the "Kupol" and "Almaz-Antey" plants. The new restrictions are aimed at blocking supply channels for components for attack drones, including engines and electronic components, some of which came from China and other countries.
