T-Bank has launched a biometric identification service for microfinance organizations that issue loans online. It will allow verifying the client's identity through the Unified Biometric System without the MFOs independently connecting to the state platform.

According to the bank's estimates, the ready-made solution will help partners save up to 90 million rubles on the development, implementation, and further maintenance of their own system. Verification can be launched within two to four weeks.

The entire process for the borrower should take several minutes. Identification can be done when switching between websites, through the mobile version of the page, and the application. A separate scenario only for mobile applications is still under development.

"PSB Finance", Summit Group, and several other companies have already connected to the service. T-Bank expects that by the end of the year, the solution will be available to most Russian MFOs.

If the client's biometrics are not yet registered, they can be submitted through the "Gosuslugi Biometriya" application or during a meeting with a T-Bank representative. The new verification is needed by the market to comply with legislative requirements and protect online loans from fraudsters.
