Komsomolsk-on-Amur faced an unexpected problem – even high salaries at the aircraft plant do not guarantee that young people will stay in the city. KNAAZ, which produces Su-57 and Su-35S, recently offered millers up to 227 thousand rubles a month, but retaining young specialists requires more than just money.

Yan Grigoriev, acting rector of KnAGU, drew attention to this problem. Without patriotic education and a comfortable environment, it is impossible to retain young people in the city, he believes.

At the same time, the university is increasingly linked to aircraft manufacturing. With the support of OAK, more than ten laboratories have been created at KnAGU, where specialists for the industry are trained.

Together with KNAAZ, they also plan to create a site for Su-80 and Be-103 aircraft there. Most students start working from their third year, and targeted students from their first.

KNAAZ is a key manufacturer of 5th generation Su-57 and 4th generation Su-35S fighters. The plant is already loaded with orders until 2030.
