The transport-loading vehicle of the Osa anti-aircraft missile system has undergone deep modernization, receiving a new chassis, modern lifting equipment, and the ability to remotely control the crane.

The work was carried out by OAO "2566 Zavod po remontu radioelektronnogo vooruzheniya", which is part of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus.

The updated vehicle received the designation 9T217-1B and is based on the MAZ-5316 chassis with a 4x4 wheel arrangement. The transition to the new platform allowed for improved cross-country capability and operational characteristics, as well as an increase in the number of transported anti-aircraft guided missiles.

During the modernization, specialists completely replaced the lifting equipment, equipped the crane with a remote control system, and installed modern radio communication tools.

The vehicle is designed for transporting, temporary storage, and loading of 9M33M2 and 9M33M3 missiles into the Osa complex's combat vehicle.
