At Voronezh CHPP-1, the current repair of steam turbine No. 9, which has a capacity of 20 megawatts, has begun. As part of the preparation of the city's heat and power complex for the autumn-winter period, specialists are restoring key elements of the station.

The work is being carried out by the branch of JSC "RIR Energo" - "Voronezhskaya Generatsiya". Power engineers have already opened the turbine casing and begun maintenance of the internal elements of the unit.

During the repair, specialists will clean the rotor from salt deposits, replace the working blades of the second stage, and also restore the supports of the turbine rotor and the generator rotor. After all operations are completed, the equipment will be checked before returning to service.

As Viktor Nazarov, managing director of the Voronezh branch of "RIR Energo", noted, annual repairs are necessary to maintain the reliability of turbine equipment. Regular maintenance reduces the risk of emergency shutdowns and ensures a stable supply of heat to city residents during peak loads.

The repair of turbine No. 9 became part of a large-scale program for preparing Voronezh CHPP-1 and CHPP-2 for the new heating season. This year, specialists will update seven steam turbines, nine steam boilers, ten hot water boilers, and six waste heat boilers.

In total, work is planned on approximately 70 units of main and auxiliary equipment at the facilities of the Voronezh heat and power complex.
