Sayanspromzheldortrans company received two modern locomotives manufactured by Bryansk Machine-Building Plant – the TEM23 shunter and the 2TE25KM mainline locomotive. The new equipment will replenish the fleet of the railway operator, which serves the Sayanogorsk Aluminum Plant in Khakassia.

The delivery was organized by TMH PRO, which is responsible for working with industrial transport enterprises within Transmashholding. A special livery was developed for the new locomotives: a mountain range pattern, symbolizing the Sayan Mountains, appeared on their bodies.

The TEM23 shunting locomotive is designed for operation at industrial sites where regular movement of wagons and trains is required. The four-axle machine is equipped with two diesel engines and features reduced fuel and oil consumption compared to larger locomotives of similar purpose.

The TEM23 design allows for a wide range of shunting and shunting-hauling operations. The locomotive has been mass-produced at the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant since 2022 and was included in the register of Russian industrial products by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2025.

The second locomotive delivered is the 2TE25KM mainline freight locomotive. The machine is capable of operating with trains weighing up to 6400 tons and can be operated in a wide temperature range – from -50 to +40 degrees Celsius.

Sayanspromzheldortrans's fleet already includes equipment from the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant. In 2021, the company received the TEM18DM shunting locomotive, which showed high efficiency in operation.

In the future, TMH PRO is considering equipping the TEM23 with motion automation systems and will continue to ensure the supply of necessary spare parts to keep the equipment in working condition.
