Yandex received the international certificate for responsible development ISO/IEC 42001 for all models of the Alice AI family, according to the company's press service. This standard assesses how transparently and safely the company operates and how effective its processes are.

The audit for compliance with the standard covered the processes of creating and implementing Alice AI LLM, Alice AI ART, and Alice AI VLM — linguistic, image, and multimodal (capable of working with text and images simultaneously) models. The Alice AI neural network operates based on these models.

Yandex stated that the audit covered all key stages of neural network management. Experts evaluated employee training on development rules, model implementation, and other processes related to artificial intelligence creation.

Following the audit, user data for all versions of Alice AI is protected according to standard requirements, and potential errors and anomalies are continuously monitored. Experts confirmed that Yandex ensures transparency in the lifecycle of neural network development and operation.

In 2025, Yandex first received the ISO/IEC 42001 certificate in Russia — at that time, the YandexGPT basic language model underwent the audit, the company stated.
