The Russian Union of Real Estate Market Participants has proposed introducing a mechanism for confirming the professional status of real estate agents through the "Max" messenger, RBC reports, citing a copy of the appeal to the Ministry of Digital Development. The initiative comes from an association covering companies from 58 regions, including "Samolet Plus" and "Etazhi".

The essence of the proposal is to publish information in the messenger profile about passing an independent qualification assessment, including the certificate number, qualification name, and its validity period. An alternative option is to display a special icon confirming the presence of such a document. According to the authors, this will allow clients to quickly distinguish a professional from a casual intermediary and reduce the number of fraudulent schemes. The Ministry of Digital Development confirmed receipt of the appeal and reported that it is being considered jointly with "Max".

For a market with multi-billion dollar turnovers, where a significant part of communications has already moved to messengers, the lack of realtor verification remains the main source of risk for the buyer. If "Max" becomes a single point of qualification confirmation, it will be the first mass case of using a national platform not just for communication, but as a professional identification. Previously, similar mechanisms were discussed only in the public sector.
