Russia has proposed to India to jointly create a promising air defense system using S-500 complex technologies. The initiative provides not just for the supply of ready-made solutions, but for the possible participation of the Indian side in the development of a new defense complex.

According to the Indian publication IDRW, the Russian side proposed to use the experience of creating the S-500 to form a more modern air defense system for India. It is assumed that the new complex could become one of the key elements of the Sudarshan Chakra program, aimed at developing the national defense system.

According to the publication's source, it is about creating a multi-layered system that can combine various means of detecting and destroying air targets and hypersonic threats. The Russian proposal is related to the transfer of technologies and joint work on promising solutions in the field of air and missile defense.

Moscow's proposal is considered a new stage of military-technical cooperation with New Delhi. At the same time, specific project implementation terms, the scope of participation of the parties, and possible agreements have not yet been disclosed.
