The construction of the lead tugboat of project 05380 "Grifon-9" has been completed at the Leningrad Shipyard "Pella" (Otradnoye). The vessel was issued a set of classification documents. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
Project 05380 is a modification of project 90600 (developed by specialists of ZAO "Spetssudoproekt"), under which more than 50 units have been built. Vessels of project 05380 are designed for towing and warping operations (changing the position of cargo) in the port, on roadsteads and in coastal areas. Thanks to powerful azimuth thrusters (VRC), the tugboat can turn almost in place, which is important when working in small water areas.
Main characteristics of the tugboat "Grifon-9":
- Length – 25.4 m
- Width – 8.8 m
- Side height – 4.7 m
- Draft – 3.3 m
- Main engine power – 2 × 1470 kW
- Bollard pull – 50 t
- Speed – 11.5 knots
- Crew – 8 people.
"Grifon-9" was built by order of the company "Grifon" for work in the Great Port of St. Petersburg. Ice class Arc4 allows the tugboat to be used in water with ice thickness up to 0.8m.
