The enterprise of the United Shipbuilding Corporation – the Special Design and Technology Bureau for Electrochemistry with an Experimental Plant (SKTBE) – has become a member of the scientific and coordination council for the implementation of the International Arctic Station "Snezhinka" project, the OSK press service told "Pervy Tekhnichesky". The corporation explained that SKTBE was included in the expert-advisory and coordinating body.
The "Snezhinka" project is an international scientific station in the Arctic. The station is intended to be a year-round autonomous complex based on renewable energy and hydrogen.
The scientific and coordination council was created to coordinate work on the project within the framework of a trilateral agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science, the government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, and MIPT. The council will determine the station's development strategy, form R&D and equipment supply plans, prepare recommendations for financing, conduct expert reviews of projects under state contracts, and interact with MIPT institutes to involve students and postgraduate students in working on the project.
