The two-deck passenger ship "Phoenix" (project 2646/R51EK) was modernized at the facilities of Astra Marine Group of Companies (GC) in Shlisselburg, Leningrad Oblast. Specialists performed maintenance on all ship mechanisms, the GC press service reported.
Leningrad shipbuilders enlarged the stern of the ship and created an open promenade deck on board. In addition, they replaced the railing (handrails made of vertical posts and horizontal crossbars-rails).
The ship "Phoenix" was built in Moscow. Astra Marine GC acquired the vessel in 2024. It is operated on sightseeing routes along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg, as well as in the waters of the Gulf of Finland.

Astra Marine GC combines shipbuilding and ship repair production. All types of work are performed at this site, including defect detection and dry-docking. After the modernization of the vessel, control is carried out by inspectors of the Russian Classification Society (RKO).
