Su-57 with N036 "Belka" onboard radar will destroy UAVs more accurately

Fifth-generation Su-57 fighters continue to evolve to meet current challenges even after serial deliveries to the Russian Aerospace Forces began. One of the improvements to the combat aircraft was equipping it with the N036 "Belka" radar station.

Thanks to its active phased array, "Belka" tracks aerial targets in passive mode and provides target designation for R-77-1 missiles.

Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev explained that the N036 consists of 1526 transceiver modules with an SHF transistor device to reduce electromagnetic oscillations.

This configuration forms nulls in the radiation pattern in the direction of electronic warfare interference sources. Consequently, the radar is protected from external interference.

The N036 "Belka" is mass-produced at the Ryazan Instrument Plant. The enterprise faces non-receipt of payments from aircraft manufacturers, with the amount of claims already exceeding 500 million rubles.
