Representatives of AvtoVAZ spoke about driver habits that help to notice dangerous situations on the road in advance and reduce the risk of accidents. The recommendations were announced in the new episode of the podcast "Poladim s LADA", dedicated to safe driving. One of the key driver habits is constant monitoring of the road situation.
For example, when changing lanes, it is not enough to just look in the mirrors: it is important to additionally check "blind" spots by turning your head. When reversing, you also cannot rely only on the camera – you must use both mirrors and visual control around the car.
AvtoVAZ pays special attention to predicting the behavior of other road users. Drivers are advised not to count on everyone strictly following the rules, and always keep a reserve of attention for possible unexpected maneuvers.
So, before sudden braking, it is important to look in the rearview mirror and assess the situation behind. Before pedestrian crossings – slow down in advance, especially if the view is blocked by other cars. When leaving adjacent territories and at equal intersections, you need to look carefully in both directions.
