Russian servicemen have created a new protection system for armored personnel carriers against FPV drone attacks, which does not interfere with the operation of standard weaponry. The design was developed by soldiers of the 61st Guards Naval Infantry Brigade of the "Center" group, taking into account combat experience and recommendations from electronic warfare specialists.
The protective screen is installed in such a way that it rotates synchronously with the turret and gun of the armored personnel carrier. This solution eliminated one of the main drawbacks of traditional anti-drone designs, which limited the aiming angles of weapons and worsened visibility for the gunner.
Military experts note that the modernization of armored vehicles takes into account real-world experience from the front lines. The design was created based on the recommendations of electronic warfare specialists and adapted to the current threats faced by armored personnel carrier crews.
The new development allows combining additional drone protection with the preservation of the APC's combat capabilities, which remains one of the key tasks in refining armored vehicles in conditions of widespread use of FPV drones.
