Rostec has proposed creating a new category of technical specialists in Russia – pre-engineers. By 2036, such employees could make up to 30% of the total personnel at the corporation's enterprises.
The new category of specialists is in demand in the fields of industrial robotics, unmanned aerial systems, production automation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
According to Rostec's target model, the structure of personnel in industry will gradually change. If today the share of workers reaches about 80%, in the future it may decrease to 40%.
As noted by the corporation, enterprises are already experiencing high demand for employees capable of quickly solving applied problems in modern production without lengthy classical engineering training.
There is no time or sense in waiting 5-6 years, given the demand from our enterprises for the rapid career start of "purple collars" in niches such as robotization of production lines, implementation of AI in quality control, production of microwave modules, and implementation of cybersecurity tools.
To train the new category of specialists, it is proposed to use bachelor's programs, colleges at universities, and educational organizations of the "Professionalitet" project. Corporate training centers of Rostec in Ufa, Kazan, and Moscow are also planned to be involved in the training.
According to the corporation, these specialists will become one of the key pillars of high-tech production in the next 10 years.
