On June 15, a Tu-22M3 bomber crashed in the Irkutsk region. The incident occurred during landing during a routine training flight, the Ministry of Defense reported.
The crew ejected, there was no damage on the ground, the military department noted.
The Tu-22M3 was flying without ammunition. A commission from the Main Command of the Aerospace Forces is working at the scene.
Blogger Fighterbomber clarified that, preliminarily, one engine failed at the training ground, and the second engine also failed on the way home.
