The first modern mid-class KAMAZ-4290 bus from a new delivery has arrived at the Tushino site of Mosgortrans, announced Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport. The vehicles will operate on the "Moscow – Region" project routes and have already begun serving the line from Khovrino metro station to Podrezkovo.
The bus is designed for 25 seated passengers, with a total capacity of up to 70 passengers. The vehicle is equipped with a climate control system, media panels, and USB chargers for gadgets. A storage area for strollers and bicycles is provided at the entrance to the cabin.
Liksutov noted that, following the directive of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the rolling stock is being updated to improve the quality of passenger service both in the capital and in the Moscow Region. In total, 72 KAMAZ-4290 buses will be delivered to Mosgortrans depots this year.
In 2026, more than 500 large and medium-class buses of various models will arrive at Mosgortrans depots. Since the beginning of the year, 17 routes have already been launched in 8 urban districts of the Moscow Region. In total, 360 modern large and medium-class vehicles have been deployed on suburban routes.
