The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has patented an invention – a telescope on a movable base for precise measurements of angular coordinates of remote objects, according to a publication in the Rospatent database.
The device contains a rotary-tilting mechanism with two axes. A receiving channel with an objective lens and a coordinate receiver is located on the last axis. A strapdown inertial navigation system module is attached to the body of the receiving channel. On one side of the receiving channel window, there is a collinear beam transfer unit with two reflectors.
The artificial star generation device is made in the form of an autocollimator. Its body houses an objective lens, a luminous reticle, a beam-splitting cube, and a matrix receiver. The telescope also has a flat mirror rigidly attached to the navigation system and oriented perpendicular to the sighting axis of the receiving channel, and a third reflector in front of the input window of the receiving channel.
The first, second, and third reflectors are made in the form of identical corner mirrors. Some of them are beam-splitting: they simultaneously reflect one part of the incident light and transmit another. The technical result is an increase in the accuracy of determining the angular coordinates of observed objects and the convenience of operating the telescope on a movable base.
