Specialists from the Scientific and Production Center (SPC) "Svarog" have created the "Oko-3" aircraft-type drone with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). The unmanned aerial vehicle is designed for reconnaissance. The developers have announced its characteristics.
"Oko-3" carries advanced optics for reconnaissance. The VTOL scheme minimizes the time for deploying the unmanned complex and taking off, and also allows for long-distance flights.
Characteristics of the "Oko-3" drone:
- Range — 130 km
- Flight time — up to 2 h
- Speed — up to 90 km/h
- Payload — up to 2.5 kg
- Thermal imager and zoom —
- SIYI ZR30 camera on a three-axis gimbal
- Take-off area diameter — 15 m
- Operating temperature — from −20 to +40°C
In February, a representative of SPC "Svarog" reported that the "Oko-3" tactical operational drones had begun to be used in combat operations. The drone operates on digital communication and is resistant to electronic warfare systems.
