The majority of Generation Alpha schoolchildren are already using neural networks to solve academic problems. They consider artificial intelligence (AI) an assistant, similar to a calculator or a search engine. This is confirmed by the results of a survey by the Association of Organizers of Student Olympiads "I am a Professional".
This is the first generation to grow up with neural networks; 78% already use them! For studies (essays, problems, explanations) — 71%.
According to the survey, 53% of schoolchildren use AI as an alternative to search engines, and 26% use it for creativity and entertainment. The "I am a Professional" Association believes that educational institutions need to consider this trend and make changes to their programs.
The study was conducted online from February to April 2026. It involved 600 students aged 14-15, of whom 58% were girls and 42% were boys.
Generation Alpha is the demographic group following Zoomers (Generation Z). It includes children born from 2010 to 2024. The term was coined by Australian sociologist Mark McCrindle.
