Footage has appeared online showing the modernized anti-drone protection of the T-72B3 tank. It ensures the safety of the combat vehicle against strikes from small-sized loitering munitions and drones.

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that the design includes multi-layered lattice screens with 4S20/4S24 explosive reactive armor elements, covering up to 70% of the hull's projections and almost all angles of the turret.

The aft sector of the left side armor plate remains partially open, which allows for the future installation of an additional container with explosive reactive armor elements.

Damantsev estimated the effectiveness of the complex against HEAT munitions at 650–750 mm of armor.

However, against heavy anti-tank missiles with an "impact core," the protection remains limited due to insufficient thickness and screen angles, he warned.
