The first four to five MS-21 aircraft could be delivered to customers in 2027. This forecast was announced by Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov, noting that the completion of certification flights is expected in the first quarter of the same year.
Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov announced the possible start dates for deliveries on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. According to him, after the completion of certification tests, the enterprise will be able to proceed with serial production of the airliner.
The first [MS-21s], I think, 4–5 [are planned for production in 2027].
Thus, 2027 is considered the starting year for MS-21 deliveries, and the immediate key task of the program remains the completion of aircraft certification.
Earlier, "Pervy Tekhnichesky" reported that, according to the head of OAK, the confirmed flight range of the MS-21 aircraft may soon increase to 4 thousand km. The new indicators are planned to be confirmed within the ongoing certification tests.
