Tests of the new all-terrain vehicle ZVEZDA NH4-41 began in Kstovo

The vehicle received a YaMZ-534 engine and a mechanical gearbox from KamAZ

Running tests of the new cargo version of the ZVEZDA NH4-41 amphibious all-terrain vehicle have begun in Kstovo. The development and testing are carried out by "Zavod vezdekhodov amfibiy", which is expanding its range of equipment for heavy operating conditions.

The new modification received a YaMZ-534 diesel engine, a nine-speed KamAZ mechanical gearbox, and Voltyre 800/65R32 low-pressure tires. According to the declared characteristics, the vehicle is capable of carrying up to 4 tons of cargo and reaching speeds of up to 85 km/h. The tests are aimed at checking the driving performance, stability, and operation of the power unit in various load modes.

Previously, the enterprise reported plans to produce about 400 amphibious all-terrain vehicles of the "Zvezda" family by 2030. The new NH4-41 version is considered part of this production program and is aimed at expanding the use of equipment in hard-to-reach regions and for industry-specific tasks.

It is separately noted that the development of the line of cargo amphibians is associated with the growing demand for universal all-terrain vehicles capable of operating both on rough terrain and in water obstacles. The manufacturer focuses on increasing carrying capacity and unifying components, which should simplify maintenance and operation of equipment in the field.

Earlier, "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that the "Altaylesmash" plant presented a "four-in-one" tracked all-terrain vehicle. The machine, weighing about 22 tons, was equipped with a 180 hp YaMZ-238 diesel engine.
