UZGA received multi-billion lawsuits amid problems with "Baikal"

Claims against the Ural plant were filed by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Industry and Trade

The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) has faced a series of claims from the state. The total amount of lawsuits and claims against the enterprise already amounts to billions of rubles.

The largest claims came from the Ministry of Defense. The military department filed a lawsuit against UZGA for more than 1.2 billion rubles, and the total amount of claims under a number of contracts could exceed 6 billion. Some of the disputes are related to the disruption of deadlines for work on the L-410Sh aircraft for training military aviation navigators.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade also tried to recover 83 million rubles from UZGA for violating the deadlines for work on the import substitution project of the Czech L-410.

At the same time, reports appeared about the suspension of the TVRS-44 "Ladoga" program. The aircraft was considered as a future replacement for part of the aging fleet of regional turboprop aircraft.

Also, the turmoil continues in the management of UZGA itself, Oleg Dotsenko became the new director of the plant on May 15. He replaced Igor Ozar, who had been working since September 2025. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin emphasized that "Baikal" should be ready for serial production no later than the end of 2026.
