At the COMvex 2026 exhibition, "Gruppa GAZ" presented the all-wheel drive van-combi "Sobol NN 4x4" in the Off-Road version. The vehicle was equipped with powerful front and rear bumpers, reinforced sills, an electric winch for self-recovery, a snorkel on the right pillar, off-road tires 245/70R16 with aggressive tread, as well as additional steel protection for the fuel tank and transmission components.
The "Sobol" is based on a frame chassis with a Part-Time selectable all-wheel drive and electronic control. Ground clearance is 220 millimeters, suspension travel is 200 millimeters. The wading depth without preparation is 0.5 meters, with a snorkel – up to 85 centimeters. Under the hood is a 2.5-liter diesel engine with 149.6 horsepower and 420 N·m of torque paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The transfer case has a low range (2.82) and a forced locking rear differential.
The Off-Road version is also equipped with a rear towing device, an expedition roof rack with a load capacity of 250 kilograms, and a ladder for access to it. The gross vehicle weight is 3500 kilograms, which allows it to be driven with a category "B" license. The basic equipment includes heated mirrors, seats and windshield, a pre-heater, air conditioning, and a media system with a 9-inch screen.
