The United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) plans to build a new shipyard in the Intermediate Bay near Vladivostok, the corporation's press service told "Pervy Tekhnichesky". The site is focused on the construction of large-tonnage merchant fleet vessels: gas carriers, tankers, bulk carriers, and container ships. The shipyard's design capacity can reach up to 12 vessels per year.
The project includes a slipway with four building berths, a floating dock with a lifting capacity of 50 thousand tons, a dry dock measuring 350 by 90 meters, as well as an assembly and welding production facility for sections up to 48 by 48 meters.
The site is located within Vladivostok. It has a closed water area of 80 hectares, a production area of 130 hectares, and a potential metal processing capacity of about 250 thousand tons per year.
Currently, initial data is being worked out for further development of the shipyard's conceptual design. Organizational and technological preparations for preliminary engineering surveys are also underway.
