Tests of the rendezvous and docking system of the crewed spacecraft "Soyuz MS-29" have been successfully completed at Baikonur. The check was carried out in an anechoic chamber, where specialists eliminated external radio interference and tested the operation of the onboard equipment before the upcoming flight.
During the tests, engineers evaluated the electromagnetic compatibility of the systems and checked the operation of the rendezvous and docking complex in conditions of complete isolation from external signals.
An anechoic chamber is a special room with radio-absorbing wall covering. This design allows radio waves to be dispersed and creates an interference-free environment necessary for accurate diagnostics of the sensitive electronics of the crewed spacecraft.
The next stage of preparation for "Soyuz MS-29" will be tests in a vacuum chamber. There, the spacecraft will be tested for hermeticity and resistance to conditions close to outer space.
