Specialists from VNII "Signal" (part of the "High-Precision Systems" holding) are automating utility vehicles manufactured by "Mercator Holding". They will be operated in the Russian capital. The corresponding agreement was signed at the CTT Expo 2026 exhibition in Moscow.
Robot utility workers will clean city parks, squares, parking lots, and sidewalks from debris and leaves.
Equipment equipped with a modern software and hardware automation complex from VNII "Signal" will ensure high productivity and accuracy of work, as well as significantly reduce the need for direct human involvement.
The project will be an important step towards the digitalization of the capital's utility services, Dernovoy added.
VNII "Signal" will apply its own technological solutions. The technologies will be tested in Skolkovo.
Earlier, specialists of the scientific institute created the "Prometheus" software and hardware complex (PAK) and the "Filin" precise positioning system. These developments were used to automate rollers and asphalt pavers, and fire extinguishing systems.
