Sakhalin Shipping Company Sues Russian Ministry of Finance for 2.8 Million Rubles

The carrier provided transportation for KamAZ trucks belonging to "Pochta Rossii"

The Moscow Arbitration Court satisfied the claim of JSC "Sakhalin Shipping Company" (SASCO) against the Russian Ministry of Finance for the recovery of 2.8 million rubles for services rendered. The decision has not yet entered into force.

In November 2024, JSC "Sakhalin Shipping Company" carried out 15 crossings of KamAZ trucks. The vehicles, belonging to "Pochta Rossii", were transported from the port of Vanino to the port of Kholmsk and back.

According to N 176-FZ "On Postal Services", the transportation of postal items across water bodies is carried out out of turn and free of charge. However, according to the tariffs, the crossing of one KamAZ cost the carrier 80-90 thousand rubles. As a result, the company decided to recover its losses through court.

The controlling stake in SASCO (58.51%) belongs to PAO "TransContainer" (part of GK "Delo"). According to the company's report for 2025, the net profit of JSC "Sakhalin Shipping Company" increased by 163.8% to 315.57 million rubles, and revenue by 8.7% to 6.897 billion rubles compared to 2024 figures.
