New Harmoni-ME radar with 60 km range developed in Russia

The system can operate in counter-battery mode

Rosoboronexport will for the first time present the new three-coordinate radar station "Harmoni-ME" at the upcoming International Security Forum. This was announced by the company's press service.

The "Harmoni-ME" is capable of detecting aerial targets at a range of up to 60 km and operating in counter-battery mode.

The radar is designed to support air defense systems at the tactical level and control airspace at the front line. The complex received an automatic "friend or foe" identification system.

The "Harmoni-ME" will be useful for providing track information to air defense automation complexes – for MANPADS "Verba", "Igla" or short-range air defense systems.

In addition to radar systems, Russia is focusing on covering heavy equipment with individual systems. For example, the TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" began to be equipped with dynamic protection for the first time .
