Great export potential: 2 more new "Meteors" launched in Nizhny Novgorod

The vessels "Gubernator N.M. Baranov" and "Kupets D.V. Sirotkin" are being prepared for operation

High-speed passenger hydrofoil vessels (HSPV) "Gubernator N.M. Baranov" and "Kupets D.V. Sirotkin" of the "Meteor 120R" project were launched at the production complex of the R.E. Alekseev Central Design Bureau for HSPV in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the shipbuilding enterprise's press service.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev attended the ceremony. He recalled the great export potential of domestic shipbuilding products.

“Raketas”, “Meteors”, “Kometas” were operated on the country's inland waterways, and also supplied to 35 countries around the world, Savelyev added.

"Gubernator N.M. Baranov" and "Kupets D.V. Sirotkin" are the third and fourth motor ships of this project, which will begin operation in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In 2025, "Meteors" transported more than 120 thousand passengers. The demand for water transport in the region is constantly growing.
