Ship concept for offshore oil and gas platforms developed by KB "Topaz"

Project TDSV 01 provides for the placement of IGF Type C cryogenic tanks on the open deck

Specialists of the design bureau "Topaz" have developed a concept project for a multifunctional ice-class vessel (prepared for independent navigation in polar sea waters) of project TDSV 01. It is designed to ensure the safety of offshore oil and gas platforms.

Purpose of TDSV 01 project vessels:

  • search and rescue operations
  • personnel evacuation
  • icebreaking support
  • cargo delivery
  • towing
  • mooring operations
  • maintaining emergency radio communication
  • firefighting

The project provides for the placement of IGF Type C cryogenic tanks on the open deck in the aft part. Gas exhaust shafts are located along the sides.

LNG will be used as fuel. This will reduce costs and also reduce the volume of harmful emissions.

Characteristics of the TDSV 01 project vessel:

  • length — 80.3 m,
  • width — 16.9 m,
  • maximum draft — 4 m,
  • propulsion system — 3 dual-fuel engines (diesel+LNG) with a power of 2070 kW each, 3 diesel generators with a power of 275 kW each
  • deadweight — 1700 t.
  • RS Class — Arc5
