KAMAZ CEO Sergey Kogogin canceled the four-day work week regime, which was planned for June and July. The corresponding order was signed in March 2026, but now it has been abandoned.
The reason is an increase in orders. The company notes that it has increased sales volumes and improved the consumer qualities of its vehicles, which has led to an increase in the production plan for the coming months.
In March, KAMAZ warned employees about a possible transition to a four-day week starting June 1. The decision was to be made if the negative market conditions persisted. The reason for concern was a sharp drop in demand for commercial vehicles: in January-February, the market for heavy trucks in Russia decreased by 40% compared to last year. KAMAZ's own sales fell by 15%, although the company's share grew to 37%.
