Electric scooter rental from "Velobike" has appeared in the "Moscow Metro" application. Now users can find the nearest parking, check the vehicle's charge, and rent a scooter directly through their passenger account.
The new feature is available in the "Services" section. It displays a map with bicycles, electric scooters, and parking spots, and also includes a support chat for rental inquiries. To use the update, you need to install the latest version of the application.
According to Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov, the integration of "Velobike" into the "Moscow Metro" application is part of the development of a unified digital transport ecosystem. Currently, the service's fleet includes over 9,000 bicycles and 4,000 electric scooters.
The Department of Transport expects that the new feature will make urban transport rental easier for residents and visitors of the capital: choosing a suitable mode of transport is now possible in the same application where passengers plan routes and use other transport services.
