The crew of the Knyaz Veshchy Oleg (KVO) unmanned aerial vehicle detected a drone control point and adjusted its neutralization. The target was located in a destroyed building and was covered by fire from a 152-mm Giatsint-B gun.
The KVO, created by SPC "Ushkuynik", is an aircraft-type drone with a wingspan of 2.8 meters and a maximum take-off weight of 11 kilograms. It can stay in the air for up to 3.5 hours and operate within a radius of 45 kilometers. The key element of the device is a gyro-stabilized optoelectronic system with an HD camera and 32x zoom, which allows identifying targets with high detail. The drone's optics make it possible to see even a smoking person at enemy positions.
The Giatsint-B (index 2A36) 152-millimeter towed gun can hit targets at a range of up to 28.5 kilometers, and with an active-reactive projectile – up to 33 kilometers. The combat operation demonstrated an effective tactical link, in which an inexpensive reconnaissance drone with high interference immunity acts as an aerial spotter for powerful artillery. This allows for precise strikes on targets in operational depth, without risking own forces.
