Russia returned to the elite of global microelectronics due to machines from China

However, there were problems with the construction of the FSUE "NPP "Gamma"" plant in Moscow

The Ministry of Industry and Trade purchased Chinese equipment for electronics production for 256 million rubles. The equipment will be delivered to the new microelectronics center of FSUE "NPP "Gamma"", which is being built in Moscow as part of the technological development project.

This refers to the Europlacer ATOM 4 automatic line for mounting electronic components on printed circuit boards. The installation is capable of placing up to 75 thousand components per hour.

At the same time, the center has been under construction since 2023, and the contractor has already been fined almost 28 million rubles for disrupting the pace of work and quality violations. The documents mentioned delays in equipment supplies and the need to rework some structures.

The total cost of the project reaches 6.9 billion rubles. Initially, the facility was planned to be completed by February 2026, but the deadlines began to shift.

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stated that in 2026, Russia returned to the elite circle of states capable of producing equipment for electronic engineering.
