Equipment for amplifying signals from space modernized at Reshetnev

LNA is used in spacecraft of Glonass and Gonets satellite systems

Specialists from "Information Satellite Systems named after Academician M. Reshetnev" (JSC "RESHETNEV", part of Roscosmos) have improved the technology for creating a low-noise amplifier (LNA). The device amplifies weak signals from space. This was reported by the press service of the manufacturer of communication spacecraft.

During the modernization, Reshetnev specialists applied modern circuit design and structural solutions. Russian materials and components were used during assembly.

The new version of the LNA is designed to operate in super high frequency (SHF) bands, where the volume of incoming information increases and the influence of interference grows. The device has already passed testing in autonomous mode and as part of an illuminating system (the main component of parabolic antennas). Such a system is used in ground stations for satellite communications, radar, and measuring antennas.

The modernized LNA will be used in promising spacecraft of JSC "RESHETNEV". Previous generations of signal amplifiers were installed on Glonass and Gonets system satellites, as well as Luch and Express spacecraft.
