Rostec launched 4K CMOS matrices into mass production that do not go blind in dust and vibration

TsNII "Elektron" sensors maintain a clear picture in the rain and during temperature changes

The "Rosel" holding of the Rostec State Corporation has begun serial production of domestic photosensitive 4K CMOS matrices. According to the holding's press service, the products were developed by TsNII "Elektron" specifically for operation in harsh conditions – with strong vibration, in dust, in rain, and with sharp temperature changes.

TsNII "Elektron" emphasized that the matrices remain operational and provide a clear picture even when ordinary commercial cameras start to "noise" or completely fail. This is critically important for agricultural drones monitoring fields: agronomists receive an up-to-date picture of the crop condition and can identify disease outbreaks, pests, or nutrient deficiencies at early stages.

The result is differentiated application of fertilizers and plant protection products, and ultimately – increased yields.

In addition to the agricultural sector, the matrices are designed for industrial automation and security systems. In fact, the Russian manufacturer is filling the niche for sensors resistant to external influences, which until recently was occupied by foreign suppliers. The launch of the series means that domestic drones and stationary cameras are receiving a component base that does not require greenhouse operating conditions.
