Dmitry Savitsky, Deputy General Director of the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation, stated that the Russian air navigation system is among the most advanced in terms of flight safety.
Savitsky noted that flight safety is the main criterion for evaluating the air navigation system's performance, the highest priority, and the primary indicator of all civil aviation agencies' activities. According to him, Russia should be proud of its reliable air traffic control system. He added that the industry employs highly qualified and responsible specialists – controllers and engineers – and uses reliable modern equipment.
The Deputy General Director of the concern emphasized that the reliability of aircraft, ground and air navigation services directly depends on the volume of investment in the air transport industry, its development, and modernization. He also noted that this directly affects the level of passenger trust in flights. According to him, comfort has become more valued, but flight safety remains the main criterion.
