The Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AANII) has published information about an auction for the repair of the scientific expedition vessel (NES) "Akademik Fedorov". The contract value will be 41.9 million rubles. This is confirmed by data from the EIS "Zakupki" portal.
The winner of the tender must repair the NES in 2026. The vessel is located in the port of St. Petersburg.
On the "Akademik Fedorov", it is necessary to inspect the mooring hawse, including checking its geometry, rollers, and bearings. Then, the damaged section of the deck should be repaired, and new sheathing for the bulwark of the mooring deck should be installed.
In early May, the NES returned to St. Petersburg from a six-month expedition. The vessel covered 34,600 nautical miles. Its crew visited the Progress, Mirny, and Novolazarevskaya stations.
