The Orenburg Locomotive Repair Plant has been granted the right to serially perform medium repairs of 2TE25KM series mainline freight locomotives. The decision was made by an interdepartmental commission with the participation of representatives from the Traction Directorate, the Center for Technical Audit of Russian Railways, and enterprise specialists.
During the inspection, the commission assessed the plant's technological base, production documentation, and the results of qualification tests. Following the audit, the enterprise confirmed its readiness to service locomotives of this series.
The Orenburg LRZ also received permission for serial repair of 3TE25KM.035.15.001 type wheelsets.
The enterprise reported that preparation for mastering the new type of repair included equipment testing, adaptation of production processes, and personnel training.
The Orenburg LRZ specializes in locomotive equipment repair and continues to expand its range of serviced traction rolling stock.
