The transport of Aurus vehicles abroad follows a separate logistical protocol and, in terms of organization, resembles a special operation. A key role in delivery is played by the heavy Il-76 military transport aircraft, which brings the vehicles to the destination country in advance of the visit.
Preparation begins immediately after the trip is approved. Specialists analyze the route, weather conditions, and possible risks. At the same time, the composition of the motorcade is assembled: usually from 10 to 15 vehicles, including limousines, escort sedans, and special-purpose equipment.
Delivered Aurus vehicles receive a status comparable to diplomatic cargo, which excludes their inspection. At the airport of the host country, the vehicles are met by employees of diplomatic missions.
Security coordination is provided by the Federal Protective Service, while direct protection is handled by a specialized unit.
During the flight, the Il-76 is escorted by fighter jets up to the border, after which the flight continues through a designated air corridor. Along with the vehicles, communications vehicles and electronic suppression systems are transported; some of the systems can operate even while parked.
