In Russia, they have begun testing their own analogue of Figma — an online service for interface design and collaborative work on layouts. Rostelecom has launched a closed beta of the graphic editor "Spektr"; the project was presented at AKPO-Konf 2026.
The new service works directly in the browser and allows teams to simultaneously create and edit design — from interfaces and websites to presentations and marketing materials. In essence, this is an attempt to assemble a tool familiar to designers and developers within a domestic ecosystem — without losing capabilities or teamwork.
One of the key "features" is the ability to "pull over" projects from Figma and Pixso with almost no losses: "Spektr" preserves the layer structure. In 2026, they plan to release a full-fledged migration tool that will be able to transfer not only layouts, but the entire working environment — teams, projects, and files.
The editor is being built from the outset around collaboration: components, styles, auto-layouts, flexible access rights configuration, and a "viewer" mode where layouts can be studied without the risk of making changes. All of this is intended to speed up coordination and the release of digital products.
A separate emphasis is on business and security. Plans include a local version that can be deployed within a company. This is important for large organizations and the public sector, where data cannot be taken outside their own infrastructure.
The project is being developed by the company "RTK IT" (part of Rostelecom), and "Spektr" has already been entered into the register of domestic software. This opens the way for it into companies with strict infrastructure requirements.
In the future, the editor is planned to gain AI-based tools and plugin support — to automate routine work and expand capabilities for specific team tasks.
In fact, "Spektr" is not just a new product, but an attempt to eliminate one of the market's key dependencies and move familiar design processes into a local ecosystem without losing convenience.
