Rosselkhozbank (RSHB) Adapts Its Mobile App for the Older Generation: Simplified Interface and Online Pension Transfer

The bank is introducing a special mode with large font, financial tips, and remote benefit processing

Rosselkhozbank (RSHB) has announced the launch of an updated version of its mobile application aimed at older users. The key element is the development of a separate interface mode activated with a single tap: it includes enlarged fonts, simplified navigation, and built-in tips for financial transactions.

At the same time, a remote pension transfer function has been implemented. The user can submit an application directly in the app without visiting bank branches, MFC offices, or the Social Fund. The system automatically generates the application: the client only needs to verify the data, choose an account, and confirm consent. After that, a card is issued with additional service conditions.

In addition, older clients can receive extra income: 13.3% on deposits and 14% on savings accounts (subject to meeting the conditions). For recommending the bank to a friend, 2,000 points are awarded, which can be exchanged for rubles or goods from RSHB partners.

As the bank's press service reported, the interface is being developed with the user scenarios of the elderly audience in mind: minimizing steps, reducing cognitive load, and emphasizing visual accessibility. The built-in expense management tools operate in the background and do not require complex settings.

We see that older-generation clients actively use digital services, but they need a special, more understandable interface.

The app will also feature a showcase of partner offers — discounts at pharmacies, stores, and medical institutions. In addition, users will have access to information about events and financial literacy courses that the bank is already launching in the regions.

The bank's app is available in the App Store under the name "PRO Zharka".
