During the combat mission, the pilot of the Su-35S multirole fighter recorded the process of covering army aviation helicopters on the onboard camera. The aircraft controls the airspace and ensures the safety of rotary-wing aircraft when striking enemy targets. The footage published by the Russian Ministry of Defense shows the pilot's work in real time.
According to the department, the Su-35S crew performed air reconnaissance tasks, early detection of threats and, if necessary, was ready to use onboard weapons. Helicopters under the cover of a fighter worked on predetermined targets — manpower and temporary positions of the enemy.
The video shows how the Su-35S sighting and navigation system provides stable target designation in flight dynamics, and external shooting demonstrates a rich range of weapons: the fighter carries missiles of several different types simultaneously, including guided missiles of the "air-to-air" and "air-to-ground" classes.
