Yandex has expanded the integration of the "Yandex Auto" platform with cars of the GWM concern. Now TANK owners can remotely control the car's functions by voice through smart speakers with Alice. Engine start, seat heating activation, door status check, and fuel level in the tank are supported.
Technically, the command is processed through a bundle of Yandex ID and GWM Connection accounts. After synchronization, the car is displayed in the "House with Alice" application as a smart home device. The voice assistant distinguishes familiar voices and requests an additional PIN code to execute critical commands such as starting the engine — protection against accidental or unauthorized triggers.
In the future, the platform will allow creating automation scenarios: for example, by the command "Alice, I went to work," the car will start, and the lights in the apartment will turn off.
Currently, the function is available for HAVAL, TANK, and Wey models with activated GWM Connection services.
