A video has been published online showing a volley of rockets fired from a reactive system mounted on the Courier ground robot. The combat drone has once again received a new upgrade. The tests were carried out by the developers of the NRTK complex.
A block of 8 guides, designed to launch 107 mm unguided rockets, was fixed on the chassis. The complete cycle of firing the ammunition takes less than 15 seconds. The North Korean Type-75 installation was chosen as the main fire weapon.
The developers explained this decision by its small size and low weight. Heavier 122-mm systems overload the compact chassis, while the 107-mm design fits into the robot's permissible parameters. At the same time, the platform retains its cross-country ability and ability to overcome rough terrain. The declared firing range reaches 8.5 kilometers.
Remote control allows the crew to be in a safe area. The robot independently moves to the position, strikes and quickly retreats to cover.
This week, the creators also showed the Courier with other modules. The platform was equipped with the Bagulnik-82 mortar and the Adis installation for setting up smoke screens.
